There should be a honest answer from somebody! Some people may need to make plans to take off work another day depending on where the state race is going to be !! Somebody needs to start talking!

I don't get how he used to be on here everyday multiple times, and now nothing. What is the deal, will GV still be hosting the state race or is it being moved?

The only thing they are doing is making it worse for them,the track,and the riders by not just saying what the heck is going on! Just admit it you've run the thing (track) in the ground and nobody has any faith to even waste there hard earned money and time to show up there and hope that it is (prepped)!!!!

QUIT IT!! this is wearing me out. I like Grain Valley the track has been open for practice almost every week! sometimes not so perfect THANKS GUYS but I'M sure that there is more to it as to why there not racing. it's not as E Z as just doing it. sounds to me like some people don't want them to succeed.

I could be wrong (I don't have the history that some of these guys do), but I think it's that there are higher expectations than just being open for what was once one of Mo. State's best tracks. Speaking for myself, we've had a lot of fun riding GV, both races and practice. I was looking thru some old (2007-2008) pics my daughter took of us riding, and the place looked sweet. I understand it cannot ALWAYS be great, but what I saw last week was pretty discouraging to say the least. Mowing, a little weed-whacking, maybe blade it, something. It would go a long way. There has been an awful lot of rain this summer that would have made for some good practice days without having to drag the hoses around.

Dennis, Brett or whoever is in the know...
Don't let GV fade away into the sunset...lease the track to someone else if the current situation doesn't work. My thought is a group of parents/riders like MX Parents/Archview or lease it back to Jerry if he still wants it. GV was the first track we ever raced at and nobody wants to see it taken over by weeds. |
